Ben Kaye is a theatre maker and cultural critic currently residing in Chicago, IL.
His main interests lie in creating Atmospheric Theatre; work that fully embodies bold theatricality in both performance and design, that engages the audience in ways impossible in any other medium.

His work as a director has been seen at Dandelion Theatre, Nothing Without a Company, The New Colony, GreatWorks Theatre Company, and many others. His production of “Forsythian Dweller’s Club” received a Golden Lanyard Award (Venue Pick) at the Minnesota Fringe Festival in 2018.

As an actor, Ben’s favorite credits include work at Victory Gardens Theater, Haven Theatre, and Porchlight Music Theatre. He has performed at Davenport’s Piano Bar & Cabaret, Salonathon, and also on a beach one time.

Ben is currently the Managing Director of Red Tape Theatre, and a Contributing Writer for Newcity Stage.
